How is my order delivered?

Your delivery could take place in a number of ways and we will contact you to advise the method we have allocated to your order.

Tail lift vehicle - We generally deliver our products on a tail lift vehicle with a smaller lorry an option. This works by lowering the pallets individually to the floor using the tail lift with the driver then manouvering the pallet into place using a manual pallet truck. Please note that delivery onto a driveway is at the driver's discretion and by instructing him/her to do so you are accepting liability for any damage done.

Vehicle with crane - dependent on your location, quantity ordered and/or access to the property we may be able to deliver your order on a crane vehicle. We will inform you of this when we call to book in your delivery.

Vehicles with forklift offloads may also used for larger orders or upon request where possible.

Rest assured that there is almost no location that we have been unable to deliver to. If you have a difficult delivery location, usually a combination of a different delivery vehicle and a little extra time will generally result in a successful delivery.

Please see our delivery information for further detail and contact us should you need any help.

Unless otherwise stated, all deliveries will be made to the kerbside using a tail lift vehicle. It is at the customer's liability if delivery is accepted onto a driveway and it is at the driver's discretion as to whether delivery onto a particular property is possible. The video below shows how our deliveries are made:

This vehicle will lower the product to the ground using an electric lift. The pallet of products is then pulled off using a manual pallet truck. It is imperative that the ground that the pallet is unloaded onto is flat and solid. Access may be needed for a rigid lorry (approx. 12m) otherwise additional delivery charges may be made. For larger orders alternative delivery methods can be arranged. Please call our office to discuss any delivery requirements or for clarification.

Our customer services team will advise how to prepare for receipt of ordered goods. Our delivery team are not responsible for any additional lifting or carrying of your goods.

We do not deliver items to multiple addresses.

*In summer months delivery times can be up until 8pm due to the volume of deliveries being made, however, this is a relatively rare occurrence.

How long will delivery take?

Delivery will normally be less than 10 working days.

Please note:

  • Working days are classified as Monday to Friday and exclude bank holidays.
  • Delivery times apply to items in stock.
  • If any items are out of stock we will contact you and either organise a refund or give you an estimated time of availability.

Contact us prior to placing your order if you are working to a timescale and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred date where possible.

Contact us anytime after placing your order quoting the invoice number and we will update you on your order status.

Delivery addresses

Simply Paving deliver to all UK mainland addresses. There is, however, an extra charge for deliveries to Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and Islands (and certain other Scottish postcodes), Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Isle of Scilly, Jersey, Guernsey and BFPO addresses. Please see our delivery charges for these costs.

Please note that for those customers who live in some remote rural areas our delivery service may be extended by 2 working days or we may contact you to advise that your address is not serviceable.

Delivery to an address other than your billing address is permitted.

Preparation for receipt of delivery

When contacted by Simply Paving to arrange delivery please:

  • Please check the address that you have given us for the delivery is correct, double check the product you have ordered and ensure a telephone number has been submitted for contact regarding your delivery.
  • Ensure the delivery area is flat and solid enough to take the weight of a pallet truck carrying up to 1 tonne in weight.
  • It is advisable to have someone taking delivery that is able to help the driver as they may occasionally need help to unload.
  • Please advise Simply Paving of any constraints which may restrict access to your address for our delivery vehicles.
  • Check there are no overhanging trees or cables that would prevent the vehicle from accessing the area.

What size vehicle will be used?

Tail lift deliveries are usually delivered on an 18T rigid vehicle which measures approximately 12m (L) x 2.8m (W) x 4m (H). The smallest size available is a 7.5T vehicle measuring approximately 8.3m (L) x 2.5m (W) x 3.5m (H).

Crane vehicles can vary in size and will be discussed when the team call to book in your delivery.

Is it free delivery for everyone?

Yes, as long as your order has at least one full pack included we offer free delivery throughout the UK with the exception of these postcodes AB, BT, DD, GY, HS, IM, IV, JE, KA27-28, KW, PA20+, PH, P030-41, TR21-25 and ZE. Please see delivery charge matrix if you require delivery to the above postcodes. Deliveries with less than a full pack on are charged at £35.00.

Is there anything out of the ordinary I should advise Simply Paving of regarding delivery?

If there are any access problems that would affect the vehicle getting to the delivery point you will need to mention this to us when we contact you to arrange the date.

If there are any reasons why a particular time would impair the delivery it is also best to discuss at this point. For example if a school is on your road and delivery at certain times would be best avoided. We cannot guarantee these be always adhered to but we will pass the details to the delivery company for their information.

What time should I expect my delivery on the date has been given?

Deliveries are usually between 08:00 and 18:00 but the driver should ring prior to delivery. Please note in the summer months this could be up until 20:00.

An AM or PM delivery can be booked at a premium of £25.00 per order. If this is not possible we will advise you and refund this cost.

A Saturday delivery can also be booked at a £50.00 premium. If this is not possible we will advise you and refund this cost.

Will all my order arrive together?

The majority of deliveries will arrive together, however, we will let you know if this is not the case. On some occasions building materials will arrive separately.
